Network Technician / Technical Support
AirPatrol Corporation requires an internal Network Technician who can provide general technical support to our inside staff and also provide customer support to users of our software and hardware products.
This is a full time position.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Maintain Network
- Assist admin/sales staff with IT support
- Assist with asterisk VOIP phone system
- Assist developers with IT support
- Assist customers with Technical Support
- Application support for end-users
- Troubleshooting and resolving PC, printer and network problems
- Installing new equipment, applications or operating software
- Installing hardware and software upgrades
- Data backup and restore
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma from relevant Vocational/Technical program, or equivalent experience
- 1 – 2 years of related work experience
- Experience in computer repair
- Strong knowledge of Windows for desktops (XP, Vista) and MS applications (Office, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Windows environment
- Working knowledge of Networking
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong sense of customer service
- Good organizational skills
- Must work well in team atmosphere
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good time management skills; able to work on various projects simultaneously
- General understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts as well as firewalls, routers and switches
Salary Range:
$30K – $34K per year, depending upon experience. Competitive benefits package.

Senior Software Developer
AirPatrol Corporation specializes in the development of leading edge wireless security solutions. Specific customized solutions based on AirPatrol's core technologies are developed for, and marketed by a wide variety of industry partners worldwide.
We are looking for a full time Senior Software Developer to expand our development team located in Burnaby, BC.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the development team and management to bring new ideas to market
- Participating in design specification and reviews
Requirements:
- Post secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years experience developing applications for the Microsoft Windows environment in C/C++
- Good understanding of object oriented design
- Familiarity with MFC and STL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas is not required but will be considered a plus:
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 protocols and issues
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Experience with computer security/encryption/cryptology and related issues
- Windows driver experience
- Linux programming experience
