Architectural Overview: AirPatrol's Rapid Deployment Solution

AirPatrol's WLS Rapid Deployment System packages a Firetide Hotport 802.11 wireless mesh node and battery along with the standard WLS Wi-Fi/Cellular Sensor to provide a complete stand-alone solution that is ideal for rapid deployment. Network connectivity between the WLS Sensors and the laptop hosting the WLS Management application is achieved through the 802.11a wireless mesh.

AirPatrol's WLS Manager and WLS Connect software talk to AirPatrol cell and wifi sensors to triangulate and locate cellular call events and wireless devices within three meters of accuracy. WLS Manager also provides wireless network perimeter protection (geofencing) via its VirtualShield feature. AirPatrol's Wireless Policy Manager and Wireless EndPoint Client provide network administrators with remote, web-based wireless network policy management and enforcement, USB device control, and wireless endpoint protection from the risks posed by multihoming, rogue access points, and adhoc connections.
